What sports would you do if you're looking for ultimate fitness and overall strength?

I'd like to spice up my training, so this is what I think.

Cycling (Road + MTB)

Running (Road + Trail)

Swimming

Rowing

Gym

Touch rugby

Boxing

Would it be too taxing on the body to do all these sports?

First things first: what is the definition of "ultimate fitness"?

some parameters:

muscle endurance / cardio vascular endurance / type of strength - explosive / sustained?

muscle groups?

intensity levels?

I don't really have any goals at the moment. Was just thinking what kind of different sports one can do to be fit for basically anything.

Triathlon is my main sport, but if I can maybe do each of the others once or twice in a 2 week cycle, or whatever, then I would develop all my muscles and this could benefit me for triathlons.

Forgot skipping. Definitely have to include it.

As a triath you already gotta do the cycle swim run, all good cardio vascular stuff. I would do supercircuit training to get some activity which will strengthen my skeletal structure and core, and as a balance to the swimming and cycling which are no/low impact sports. Touch rugby - higher chance of injury. Supercircuit will strengthen you, enable you to focus on your lower back, intercostals (rib muscles), and stomach groups, and then you can stretch in the gym afterwards along with some of those hotties. As a triath you don't want to bulk up, and you can tailor the supercircuit to do lots of light reps. That's what I would do, and I wish I was doing now.............
