quickdraw Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 From what I remember those models never had replaceable derailleur hangers, so you needed a whole new rear end if you broke it. You would also need to find out the availability of parts for the rear shock. I might turn out to be more trouble than it's worth.
DawieO Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Shock parts, no problem. Derailleur hanger, problem. However, I been riding my RC without bending a hanger for about 3.5 years. Have replaced both the frame and the rear triangle, but not due to hanger failure
PistolPete Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Ok, so I went to see the bike. It looks in good nick. The whole drive train has been replaced with new XT components. So essentially the only mechanical original parts left are the fork and rear shock, and the shifters. I can get it for ZAR 9 200. any comments? or anyone have a similar priced/specd bike for sale?
