I'm curious what they mean by most powerful???

There are sprinters and climbers and TTlists....I certainly can't imagine Oscar doing too well in the hills against the pro boytjies.....or in a sprint for that matter, actually can't see it at all ever????

Powerful for one leg maybe yes, but cycling you kinda need two....

Even look at Graham Diesel, he fought for a long time to ride with the able bodied cyclists and he has both legs only missing an arm. Imagine NEVER been able to stand on a bike...have to sprint seated....not that easy!!

so i was leafing through the latest edition of procycling yesterday' date=' and i turned to the mag's feature on the 50 most powerful men in cycling. i spot a pic of blade runner...wtf? the words that went with the pic seemed so tenuous. to paraphrase, if oscar is allowed to compete and beat able-bodied athletes it'll open the doors to gene-doping...a meeting of "biology and artifice", the writer called it. The guy is an Idiot and did no research on prosthetics. and should be given a

oscar is missing both actually. the article is not about power in athletics terms, nor oscar riding a bike, it has to do with influence, etc...

Well, that's a bit doff.....

I've never seen him influence anyone to ride a bike.....even though I don't like him, there is only one man that comes tops in that then and we all know him too well.

it has nothing to do with getting bums on saddles. the point of the original post, hence the words tenuous link, is that procycling is trying to say that should he be allowed to compete against able-bodied athletes, it'll open the floodgates to allow all sorts of genetic ruses to be used.

others in the top 50 peeps mentioned have never influenced a person to get on a bike. how many folk would say that they were influenced to ride by, say, dr ferrari, mike sinyard, etc?holy roller2009-09-01 09:14:20
