Speaking of the Olympics' date=' haven't quite worked out what those stud thingies are for....are they for rucking fallen MTBers out of the way on single track?[/quote']

Could work, perhaps more useful in Cyclocross - they seem to go for muddy pile ups.

Else for the dash across the muddy field for the Le Mas style starts Smile

After the Tokia race this weekend my old LG's was f'ed, got a pair of Spezialized Mtb shoes for R871 at Willies, sis my first ride with them yesterday, only 92km and taking 6h02 and I had no problem with them, excellent shoes for my feet!Thumbs%20Up Marius2007-05-02 01:02:13

Forgot to post the end result...

Eventually got my shoes (there was a bit of a mix up between my LBS and the suppliers over all the public holidays in April).

I went for the Olympic Adventure (R450 @ Flandria)

They fit me well and the rubber sole enables me to hop over a few rocks without slipping when exploring off the bike.

It took a while to get the cleat positions set correctly, but I think I have a got it close now.

Thanks for the advise (also in other threads relating to cleat position)
