Ultegra SL vs Sram rival?

Was just looking in an old bicycling mag and they put sram rival on par with ultegra sl and was wondering on people's opinions on which is better if i was wanting upgrade.

one is not better then the other. SL is ugly though in that grey colour. That article proberbly tested the alu lever Rivals right. Now both manufacturers offer it in carbon. Shimano has even gon the total hidden cable route. It will be a tough call for a new buyer but i would rather look at Ultegra 6700.

Although I like Shimano products, the local backup is appalling. I'm waiting more than 6 months for new cones and seals for my XTR hubs.

 

SRAM agents carry even small bits and bobbins for the shifters and components. The NEw SRAM wheels are also rather lovely even if they are just rebranded Flashpoint. Theres always ZIPP which another SRAM company.

 

I am using 2010 Force. Frikken brillian t stuff, really really awesome.

You won;t regret the leap. Doubl tap takes a while to get used to, well one long ride actually hereafter you'll wonder why nobody thought of it before hand
