Clincher = what the majority of people use. You have to use tubes with them, easier to fit using tyre levers & strong thumbs.

 

Tubbies = an "all-in" tyre with a built-in tube & has to be glued to the rim. usually used by the more racing-minded chaps often on deep section rims.

so tubbies are like tubeless just without the stan's' date=' yes? [/quote'] No they have a tube except that it is housed within a "sealed" unit. You actually need to unpick the stitching to get to the tube to repair any punctures which makes it a great pain in the ar$e!
