Hi

Im new to the sport of mountain biking and i'd like to get involved in riding on weekends with a group. I live in the Gauteng North area so was wondering if anybody could give me some advice on who to contact or where I could perhaps go riding?

Johannesburg Mountain Bike Club

They do rides every Sunday and some Saturdays they run skills clinics.

Rides around JHB/PTA and Magalies:

Northern Farm (very popular)

Teak Place

Braamfontein spruit

Delta Park does Night races every Wednesday

MTN bike park (if you want to work on you technical skills)

Groenkloof (PTA)

Van Gaalens Cheese Farm (Magalies) (One of the best single tracks arround)

Sengwati Ranch

Not to sure, tried their web for their out rides and almost looks like the same thing over and over. Also went there a few times or trying to get info when buying but was not impressed. Get a much better service from my own local bike shops.

Im in Randburg. I have found Northcliff cycles to be very helpful so i'll probably just keep using them.

Also in the Randburg area.

Northcliff and Cyclelab are both good, have never had a problem at either.

Keep an eye out on the forums for rides as well.

Check out www.trailriding.co.za

Rides every weekend, skills clinics and chilled vibes. Worth joining in my opinion.

Hi

I live near the Dome, we ride most weekends. We do the spruit, northern farms and a ride around the Ruimsig athletics stadium. We also do a home of the chicken pie ride.

It all depends on what we feel like, try not to do the same route every weekend. Gets boring.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to ride.
