I have an iDrive on my alu marathon and did manage to break the flex plate thingy but it happened after I started jumping the bike. For big jumps go buy the Force. It is also iDrive but has a big' date=' strong, heavy steel thingy instead.

The marathon is a low travel suspension bike designed for marathon's not bombing downhill over big drop offs.

hmmm... Wonder if the one on the Force would work on the Marathon? Just out of curiosity...

No, it wont fit. The design is different.

How about welding a piece of 25x25 angle in there ?

Oh look' date=' a pragmatist smiley36.gif

Or maybe just stop mucking about and buy a Morewood. If you break that you're a special case.[/quote']

I would love to, just don't have 18 k lying around for a Morewood race frame Angry

Dang, gotta start saving.

I broke my bone thingy, the old style, but now I fitted one of those rubber coated up market ones.

My bike is 2 yrs old and it broke about a year ago. KM on the bike is about 10 000,

LOLLOLLOLYa a Morewood is not far off 25x25! No offence they are great bikes... had one myself.

The GT dog bone link is designed to fail if the suspension is pushed too far, its also designed that the bike won't stop working altogether, I read an interview with Todd Wells when he was with GT and after winning a Norba race he said the dog bone went after the 1st lap and he won the 6 lap race like that...
