Anyone outthere that can help me work out a training plan to get a bit faster and fitter. I need something that is not rigid in anyway as i work shifts and not a normal 8-5 monday to friday. Anyone?

Any advice will be appreciated.

I have tried doing 2 long rides now(85 to 95km), but on both occasions I have bombed out around the 70km mark. Can anyone give me suggestions please. I am trying to just complete the 94.7 (before being cut off) this year.

Training is very complex. Loads of things need to be taken into account such as your age, your aims, time you have available, current levels of fitness, weight, past training regimens, equipment and so on. Andrew MacLean has a traing guide out, it has some very useful advice. The latest bicycling has a good article. Training is going to take time and commitment and part of that time and commitment will be research. join a club and ask the fitter guys what they do. There is no silver bullet.

When Mark Cavendish was 14 he asked a well know coach what training he should do. He was told by the coach that he could do what he liked as long as he did 16 hours a week. Just ride for starters.
