OK, so whats up with the price on computers with cadence. Why are they just so expensive, its not like its a major upgrade to the existing hardware: Its just an extra sensor and the processing power is minimal.

If I check local shops, they are all in the post R800 range for cadence and thats wired.

But on BidOrBuy, some guy is selling them (new) for R25 !!! I know its not a Cateye but you could buy 32 of these for the price of one Cateye.

Cadence is the best thing thats happened to my cycling. It really helps but its just another product that they choice to rip us off with (not going to start on HRMs as I cannot afford one yet).

I just bought a cateye with Cadence for R1395 at this shop Louis Botha St here in Orange Grove, next to the Raduim Beer Hall.

Probably over priced, but I just had to get it there. That shop is just incredible, bit like those old books shops that used be in Long Street pre Long St Cafe days, piles of this and that, dating back who knows, and in the corner of a obscurred display cabinet I spotted the final bit I needed for my road bike. Despite thje choas of that shop, ?it has been my most pleasant experience shopping at a lbs recently - Bhanis Cycles.?
