PistolPete Posted November 10, 2009 Share Stopped around 18 months ago... The thought of cigarettes disgust me. I can feel it in my lungs if I have been at a bar the night before a ride. Cant imagine what it would be like if I actually smoked. Best thing I ever did was stop.
Honkdonk Posted November 10, 2009 Share I work in the Rock n Roll industry, so smokes and booze are common place. Smoked plenty for years and loved it. My wife got pregnant and I stopped nigh on 3 years ago. Just like that. Not a puff since. Then I realized what I had been missing most - my sense of smell and you should see my climb a hill now! Joseba Beloki Posted November 10, 2009 Share 23 September i was smoke free for 6 years. Got up on 23 September 2003 while riding to Durban from Pretoria with our bikes to do the Amashova in aid for children with HIV AIDS. I just decided i had enouogh and that was it for me. It was hell for the first three months but it is a mind over matter situation, so just hang in there. The first step is to make the desision that you want to stop and then the rest is easy.
