One of at least a dozen that sneaked through to avoid a tailback of, oh, maybe 200 metres. Wetton Road, eastbound on the bridge over the M5 at Youngsfield. This happens often.

 

Consequently, I now treat all motorists as lawless vermin.

you see heres the problem.

the cycle lane is bordered by a dotted line which to a motorist means, "I can drive there".

 

Legally speaking he is probably in the right to be driving across the dotted line.

the driver of that vehicle is still s tupid tit.

 

These sorts of pictures should be published in the daily newspaper with the driver name and contact number attached. Public humiliation is the best way to get people in line on our roads.

And be damn sure you stick to the rules of the road (what ever they may be), because cattle prods are the motorists repsonse...

Speaking of checking speed, yesterday on the stretch of road just before Kyalami i saw 2 metro police in the middle island trapping motorists on the opposite side of the road. Never let it be said a cycle race should intefere with their work.

cycling lane in stellenbosch, you must be joking, the few cycling lanes here are in a worst condition than a gravel road.

btw I'm doing 55+ km/h in a 60 zone.
