Hey guys!!

I ve got myself a road bike, and am starting triathlons next year or even later this year. I was just wondering if it is possible to change from the road bars to the TT bars without having to strip the whole front end if the bike??

Any advise??

the only way is if you use the clip on type

Please elaborate. I thought that it would be a simple matter of taking the normal bars out of the stem and bolting in the tt ones.

Do TT bikes have different stems or something?

shifters and brake levers are the problem

it is not a all in one unit like a normal sti shifter.

where are you going to put the sti when you remove the normal road bar?

The easist method is just get clip on aero bars. Get a forward facing steat post as well. This way if you do a road race, it's a quick conversion back to road spec. The other alternative is to remove your bars and sti's and add base bar, aero bars, brakes levers and TT shifters.
