For all you okes in the know -

I am looking at a 2007 Trek TCT 5000 (Ultegra grouppo, 105 STI's, Bontrager wheels), this afternoon.  He wants R9500.  Service record at Cyclelab.

Assuming frame is fine, grouppo not too worn, is that a fair price?

Thanks!

The price seems fair..but I would neg a little lower. The TCT carbon is made in taiwan unlike the OCLV thats made in the U S of A. This particular frame design is also a little outdated. Lance won his first TDF on this same design..but with OCLV carbon. I think with the 5000tct they used an oldish design combined with cheaper carbon to make a more price competitive bike. But it doesnt make it a bad bike.

Thanks Mud.  Yes its not the OCLV carbon as on the Madone, but my wife is not gunning for a win in the TDF!  As long as its a decent bike and not overpriced, Im happy.
