Johan Bornman Posted December 2, 2009 Share Today's Shimano FDs are both top and bottom pull. It is simply a matter of how you attach the cable. More important though is if it is a high or low clamp. With those exaggerated organic curves in carbon bikes (at the BB) you often cannot get the clamp low enough to have the right clearance above the chainring and have to opt for a high clamp. Then there is the matter of clamp diameter but I think that's largely solved though some adapters or spacers nowadays. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
