Tubeless solvent

Recommended Posts

The tubeless slime dries out over time and loses its self-sealing properties. One solution has been to add more slime, but at some stage the weight of the dry muck must start to outweigh the benefits of going tubeless..

So the options are :

- rip thewhole lot out and start over...

- add some solvent to wet the existing slime - what can be used? water?

Clean it when you refill. I think most recommends every three months in hot dry weather and six months for cold wet conditions.

When doing a refill take the tire off completely and give it a scrub.

If you really want to clean the dried up sealant then use carb cleaner spray from Midas...it dissolves the dried up latex...
