Saudiq Posted December 9, 2009 Share Hi All, I'm thinking of upgrading my front derailleur (FD) on my 9 speed tandem from a Tiagra to a 105 or Ultegra. Would this make a big difference performance wise? My chain rubs against my current FD when I'm in the big blade and my granny. Any advise would be appreciated. techguy Posted December 9, 2009 Share If you're saying it rubs in the big blade and granny at the back then it will, no amount of adjustment can rectify that. However to answer your question, it won't make a huge difference, if the tiagra is badly adjusted it can cause that and putting an Ultegra on may solve the problem in that when its put on it'll be adjusted correctly...
