MTBnoob you must see how Clean Green just melts away the dirt when you spray it on' date=' (leave it to set a bit) so when it comes to spraying the hose pipe, it falls off your bike like a hot knife going through butter Big%20smile[/quote']

so after a muddy ride - must i let the mud settle and get hard and then spray clean green on or still while it is soft?

why not using dish washing liquid?

Wink

Seriously' date=' guys, dishwashing liquid is seriously corrosive. It will slowly but surely strip the paint from the frame. If you have to use it, use it on the drive train, nowhere else, and wash it off thoroughly. I can show you some frames that look old long before their time due to the owners washing them with dish liquid. [/quote']

might as well wash your car with Sunlight too if you feel ok enough to use it on your bike!

Seriously guys, take note of what TNT1 is saying, Sunlight is NO GOOD!!

Sunlights eats away the protective layer of the paint. Keep it in the kitchen. Also dont use it in your cars windowcleaner.

No, just give the bike a quick spray with the hose to soften the mud then apply the clean green Tongue

sunlight is the only cleaning agent i know Confused

will have to go and by this thing called clean green at Mr min's shop? Wonder where that is

Don't want to ponder too much on this, but if you have an Afgri retailer (old ko-operasie) in your area, they sell a product called "Kleer 4007". It comes in a 5l container for R70. I dilute it to get 10l. I've been using it forever on all my bikes and everything else. The maid uses it for our clothes instead of Preen and it even works better. I also use it in my Parktool chain cleaner. For the rest of the bike I use a spray bottle. Frame, cassette, derailleurs, chain rings, etc. Quick brush off and everything is sparkling clean. Rinse with hose. Bounce the bike a few times and tilt onto back wheel to get water out of the frame. Wipe with cloth, leave it in the sun to dry properly and lube the chain.
