25mm or 38mm wheels?

Hi Guys

I am considering buying some new wheels. I have been looking at these Easton models in particular:

Easton EC90 SLX and SL

The SL has a 38 mm rim. The SLX has a 25 mm rim. Both are around 1230g (apparently the SLX'es are heavier than advertised).

I already have 45mm Corimas (approx 1400g) and find I don't use those in the Cobra et al due to the wind factor on descents. I have also not used them in some of the flatter windy races due to drag in crosswinds.

It seems as though the 38mm wheel would be a better all round performer but I don't want to end up with another set of wheels that I cannot use on the windy races.

Would a 38mm rim do down OKW in 70 km/h wind? Any other comments/suggestions?

Cheers

David

David , EC90 SL 's in my opinion must be one of the best all round wheels on the market at the moment ( the choise between the 2 you want is dependant on if you like tubbies or clinchers as thats the main diff between them ), I ride a set of EA90 SLX's and they are just the berries.

My 2c worth.
