EXPO Stand 29. Min Pray, on pavement, End of Ride

always a risky thing which is why a commanly accepted thing across all spectrums, classes, religious groups, is a higher power of your understanding.  but frail never made mention of any particular g*d/idol/concept or... frail asked that after every ride we consider those who did not make it home. and also that we give thanks that we will.  the power of collective thought can sometimes lead to a physical critical mass.   all respect to all out there always of course.

My 2 cents: If your god prevents you from crashing just because you said a prayer before your ride' date=' he's not a very nice guy... But hey - what do I know[/quote']

when you ask your dad for R100 and he gives it to you but he does not give me R100 then he is not a nice guy ....

Nice idea Frail and I'm sure that you will inspire some of us to not be afraid to display our faith in public. Also the gesture will go a long way to all the family who have lost someone.

PS: Just a pith that others felt the need to sabotage this thread with their opinions on religion.

Christopher, I would like to state again that I don't want to attack anyone's views. I apologise if my tone wasn't always appropriate, or if I used sarcasm a bit too heavily. Usually I do that to keep things a bit more smiley, but I realise that many people may find that offensive.

I concede that people can gain much from their faith, and that to some it is a big support. As such, the aims of this post were honourable.

Hopefully it is possible to see some merit in the things that I said, too. Sorry about "sabotaging the thread". I suppose it's in the nature of forums that people give their opinion about things. (In this case it was even asked for! Tongue) But yes... Issues of faith seem to enjoy a higher ground, where people are always more sensitive / touchy. Guess I did not observe that duly. Again - apologies if I offended anybody or stole the thread to launch my nonsense (?) into the universe.

Frail = good man... I criticised and he did not bash me for it. Ouch

I shall try to cut off a slice of that cake.

I don't think I quite understand the allegory. In all likelihood our views just differ, and we should avoid Ouch by not arguing any more points (see my post above).

Shalom!

Good day Ya'All -

Just a thought - why not create a "Christain" or "Religious" forum where people who need to speak about praying/bible and stuff can post.  That way, those of us who are not into the prayer/religion/bible stuff will not be offended, and those who are into this kinda stuff can comment/agree etc to their hearts content.......just a thought.....

This comment is made in response to the request to give ideas/comments etc....no offense intended here......
