also in the trenches,

just worked my ass off,

Work in IT, with Freeze periods that apply to everyone else, but my job never pauses, people next to me watching movies....depressing.

I had a pretty cool ride this morning - i was feeling a bit moeg, so i took it easy at 65%-80% of max. and it felt awesome must remember to do that more.

Those IT freeze periods seem to be never ending. The company I work for is freezing all systems over the whole World Cup in June!

Agreed with Gravity - with the amount of people not wanting to be around, plus extended school holidays, I think a lot of companies will have IT freezes over the WC period. At least partially.

If they (and their end users) don't plan for it, they will be in for a bit of a surprise.

Hi All,

The advantage of being in a "dorp" is that I can get up at 04:30, have coffee, ride +/- 35k and then still walk to work and be there by 07:30. I also do not have to worry about traffic. Only had 1 vehicle pass this morning on the training route.

Have a great day

Sounds a bit like Jo'burg at the moment - took me 7 minutes to get to work this morning (admittedly by car) - but tomorrow I will be riding to work smiley20.gif
