Breedtsnek?

I guess it's about time I started preparing for Joburg2C. Anyone keen on some LSD rides this week?

 

Was thinking about riding from the Sasol garage at the Hendrik Potgieter / N14 intersection, to Breedsnek and back (around 130km / 1800m)  or riding from the Garage at Breedts and doing two climbs (80km / 1500m) . I wouldn't mind doing this a few days in a row to build some good base, so if you'd like to join, feel free.

Would loved to have joined you, I'm co-incidentally staying in Hekpoort for a few days and had intended on doing lots of LSD in and around the area but I've also come down with laryngitis so I'm not doing any riding at all at the moment.

 

besides I'm sulking over the fact that you never attended our breedts nek group ride...

Go past the shebeen to the tar road, turn right towards buffelspoort. A few hundred meters along, turn off your first left.... You will love it... If you like climbing that is...

Yes. We're leaving the Sasol garage at 5.30 - 6am. Takes 1.30 to the garage at bottom of Hekpoort.

 

So you can start at either place.

 

We will try and average 19-21km/hr.

aaaahhh. Right, coming from kdorp, down the hill, if you hang a left there, at that sasol, you pop out at the bottom of santa barbara... Shot.

strangely enough, that's exactly the road I want to explore Bob! I've ridden past it many times but I think it's time to take a sho't left
