iv never ridden their before how technical site? or mainly jeep track??

Not technical at all, perhaps a 3 or 4 out of 10, about 80-90% of the trails are jeep track.

Safety wise you'll be fine, join the group Big%20smile

Cool

If everyone who said they will ride actually pitches up tomorrow then what I suggest is that we do the first section (perimeter danger zone) as one big group. At the bottom of the hill we will do the nice windy singletrack through the trees and we can then split up into two groups (slow and ultra-slow) and carry on with the rest of the ride.

The two groups can then meet up again afterwards in the parking lot for a chat and something from the coffee shop.

Bit of a daft question... Anyone have an idea of how long it takes to get there from Sandton?

Depends where in Sandton... At 0630 probably about 15 mins North of Fourways Mall. If that.

Don't be too early tomorrow. Just got an email to say that the Farm will only open at 06:30 tomorrow morning to allow them to put the security measures into place so you probably won't be allowed through the gates before then.

Thanks to everybody that showed up this morning! I was surprised to see so many of you there after last nights storm. It was muddy, wet, disgusting, a bit dirty, jippy another puddle to sprint through, gorgeous mud, mtbking! smiley4.gif

Hey Holy or shall I say, Lilac-Breasted Roller, you missed out. I had to fly your flag with a wonderful wipe out! smiley36.gif

I must say, Simon has done a great job of securing NF. Patrols were visible all over the farm. Well done Simon.

smiley20.gif Thanks to all the guys that are helping to do this, it is appreciated. smiley32.gif smiley32.gif

Yeah, I was also pleasantly surprised at the good turnout.

Schwynn, you can blame your wipe out on your avatar as we all know that pigs love to roll in the dirt/mud. Such a pity I was ahead of you and missed the action. Holy would definitely have been proud of you.

Hi Dibles, nothing serious. It's only a bruise, here and there. smiley18.gif I enjoyed it though, especially the second lap. Msbehavn, hope we didn't give you to much of a workout!smiley36.gif Schwynn2010-01-09 08:46:10

I didn't take many photos as I was too busy avoiding the mud puddles. Here's two pics of before the ride and one action shot of someone who didn't look as clean as this just a few hundred meters from here. Big%20smile
