  1. I think so. I placed my order around 12:00 yesterday and only got my email at about 11:00.
  2. If you are feeling generous, a little more on this would be nice... in a medium http://www.cwcycles.co.za/bikes/giant-propel-adv-1
  3. Hi guys, If we want to buy a few things throughout the day, can we buy them and group the delivery later? I'm worried about things selling out before my basket is full.
  4. Aston Martin has alwasy been my favorite sports car. One day when I'm big.
  5. I wouldn't recommend an entire change to your setup so close to a race, but if you have no choice then do the smallest changes possible. Perhaps doing the bike setup here might help you a little, and it's a free, do-it-yourself option that I've only heard great reviews from. I find that going to see a chiropractor helps with this sort of problem. I suffer with sciatica and my chiro makes me feel like a new person after seeing him.
  6. I found that doing some core work and leg work at the gym helps. The stronger muscles don't make you go faster, but they help maintain your speeds and strength for longer so you don't get tired as quick. Try a class such as Gravity HIIT at the gym. I did that once a week for gym and found that my running and cycling were vastly improved.
  7. I've read quite a bit on triathlon training and swimming technique and the one article (i'm not sure which one now) indicated that your toes need to point towards the wall and not towards the bottom of the pool. If your feet are pointing down, you need to exercise your ankles, and feet, so that they naturally point backwards. The problem with fins, is that they are forcing your feet back and stretching muscles that aren't used to going in that direction and that is what might be causing your problem. Hope you find some resolve soon. good luck.
  8. I'm more worried about the 22.28 grams of weight that it's going to add to my already reduced aluminium framed bike. I think it could make or break the deal
  9. I see that you have that small mud guard on your front shock - do these work? I was thinking of getting one but hadn't decided on it yet.
  10. House prices seems - maybe only to me - to be going up. I bought the cheapest house in the best neighborhood I could afford and now the prices of homes around me are worth nearly more than R500k from the time when I bought. But back to the kitchen... I think I might have wet dreams about this - High gloss sprayed top cupboards in an off white, with Walnut veneer side panels and bottom cupboards, Zimbabwe black granite, and a Siemens 900mm gas/electric cooker and Siemens double door fridge. For the first time in my life i haven't minded saving money for something so worth while. EDIT: Typo
  11. Sadly mine isn't cycling related. I bought my first house last year and I have just paid for my new kitchen and appliances. I can't wait to have a decent kitchen where I can cook without hating the place.
  12. So I thought that we needed to revive this thread as many of us might need a new kit or two
  13. Some news for those who are interested... PRESS RELEASE SUN CITY ULTRA TRIATHLON ENTRIES EXTENDED: Due to popular demand the race organizers of the Sun City Ultra Triathlon have kept pre entries open until the 16th of April. "Our race office has been inundated by emails and phone calls post ironman from athletes wanting to enter depending on how their legs recover" says race director Damian Bradley. " We have therefore decided to keep the pre-entries open for another week. Pre entries will now be open until 5pm on the 16th of April. Thereafter late entries will be allowed if there is space available. Sun City's first Ultra Triathlon looks to be taking the Gauteng by storm. 14. Is anyone going to be going as a spectator to the Champs? There doesn't seem to be a lot after 17:00. Think i might go past on Saturday or Friday afternoon. Any specific events anyone recommends watching?
  15. I got into work this morning, and it just seems that everything just isn't right. My PC is slow, the mouse doesn't want to work, the boss seems more grumpy than usual. I didn't get too much riding in but I'm sitting here and all I can think about is how I would rather be in the saddle somewhere other than here EDIT: Typo
  16. Zeus - Golden one Crayon - Brown one Lucy - White one All adopted from SPCA, rehoming goups, or people just "needing' to get rid of their 'kids'
  17. It saddens me how people can do something like that. Change the gate, change your routine, do whatever but don't give your dog up IanJ - do you perhaps know someone who can help with my lab. She is one of 3 adoptees but giving me a lot of grief with digging and eating my plants. I need to start changing her behavior or pave my garden. The latter is not an option.
  18. I had a Trinity once upon a time, and I bought it because of the review it got in the UK. Was a great bike. Gets my vote.
  19. I'll keep a look out for more. Great job on starting the list.
  20. There is the Triple Man Road Triathlon on 11 October 2015 in Klein Kariba http://www.cycleevents.co.za/triathlon-and-duathlon-events/triple-man-road-triathlon-2015/
  21. So guys.... anyone been back to the track after the track day in December?
  22. We bought our Polo back in 2013, and the dealer had one of these fitted. My fiancee didn't realise there was a problem and drove back to Jo'burg, from collecting the car in Durban, with no rear lights. No lights AT ALL. It look Thule nearly 2 months to try and resolve the issue, which they couldn't. The dealer took it upon themselves to remove the unit and replace it with a genuine VW unit and replace the wiring harness to get it all to work. Unfortunately, think twice about a non-VW unit. The VW will cost more, but probably less hassle in the end.
  23. I went past Sportsmans Warehouse and spent quite a bit of time trying on different types and brands of goggles. It seems that the ones that fitted the best, without a doubt, and seemed the most comfy happened to be the Speedo Fastskin3 Elite which also happens to be the most expensive that they had . But I do recommend you try them as I was super impressed with how they fitted. Sadly, triathlon is no cheap sport as I've come to learn.
