Seat Post keeps slipping

As title suggests.

I've only had this problem with my GT's.

Any suggestions to fix this.

I've changed to a Allen key type Clamp, from the QR standard item, to no big difference.

This is so frustrating, and its actually ruining my ride experiences,

Suggestions most welcome!

Had the same issue on my carbon zaskar with an alu kcnc roadlite clamp

and alu post.

Make sure the clamp is clean and give it a bit of lube, also make sure the seatpost has anti-seize paste. I just had to get the sweet spot with regards to tightness - too loose and it slipped, too tight and it creacked, maybe try a torque wrench ?

If you have a carbon post in a carbon frame, try some carbon assembly paste on the post, make it 'stick'.

you can use the carbon paste on alu as well, does the same job, Its actually the frame, I had a Zaskar team and the post never slipped, just creaked a lot. If you measure the inside of the frame its a touch too big so carbon paste is the only thing you can really do, unless you want to get rustic and cut a coke can for a shim...

Had the same problem, my thomson post was *SLIGHTY* to small, tighten it, in order not to slip, it creaks. So what I did was cut a strip out of a coke can and wrapped it like a shim around the most. Works like a charm, no slippage yet.

Oooh, like the thinking here,

Im going to give the paste a try, then if that fails its coke can!

Which is better, coke or coke zero? :)
