upgrade question: force with 105?

Hi technical gurus can I run SRAM Force STI's with 105 front and rear derailleurs?

I dont think so.

 

Actually I have heard of people using the FD (but I am not sure how well it will work)

 

There is some SRAM shifter to campag RD compatibility as far as I remember.

It has to do with the amount of cable that gets pulled with each shift.

 

There was a very interesting post here some time back which gave the comparisons of what would work.

Yebo yes. You can't pair Sram shifters with Shimano rear derailleurs.
