Anybody out there have any experience on this bike and what other options can one look at in the same price range .. Believe they retail around the 6K mark.

Ja, I've got one. It's a sweet ride.

 

 

 

Speak to Kiwi. His steel On-One bikes are probably the closest match to the Peace. He should be able to do the same price or even cheaper.

ridden a couple and they seem like great bikes. would definitely recommend it.

I ride a Peace9r, excellent value for money bike. Only modification I've done is put on some Elixir R hydraulics.

 

 

 

You won't get anything in the same price bracket. The Inbred will set you back around R11k fully built.

Yip, also love mine. Although mine is going to get my Juicy 5's once I upgrade the 'goose and maybe a lighter set of wheels (I kinda fell in love with the Amercican Classics in Northcliff Cycles).

Are you all still on a rigid fork or have your upgraded to a suspension unit up front?

Still on a rigid. Mine has v-brakes too. I view it as a no-nonsense, low maintenance work horse

yip, still rigid. but I really only use mine for Northern Farm and the spruit. so nothing technical.

Peace 29 is a great bike. If you scrounge around and get lucky or buy 2nd hand parts you could probably build an On One Inbred for well under R7K.

 

If any of you decide steel aint real or steel's getting a bit heavy I have an On One Inbred Carbon "29 fork in super mint condition I am considering selling. Only about 900 grams and has nice to and fro flex which is great for corrugations though unforgiving if you decide to try and jump....Planet X advertises them for about R2100 excluding postage, I will pass this one on for R1200 ex P&P.
