Thus I said, it could potentially cause it to swell, under tests it has also been found that it can harden the seals (o-rings-buna-n rubbers)

 

All I am saying, I personally feel that Q20 in the long run could be more damaging than beneficial to the rubbers.

 

I must be honest, I have never ever seen pistons becoming hour glass shaped, new pistons aren't always needed either, a good clean out of the caliper and lubing the pistons with brake fluid or a good lube like Permatex caliper lube before re-assembly will sort out this problem.

I mean the pistons didn't come out very far when I pulled the brake lever. You said earlier that I should pull the lever until the pistons were close to coming out of their sockets and I don't think that they were anywhere close to popping out.

I dont know much about brake systems, but if the piston in the lever were sticking, then surely that would cause the pistons in the calipers to come out and stay out?
