There's a video somewhere on youtube. I can't remember the name of the bike so can't find it. It's intended to be hiked up a hill and then you bomb down.

 

It's not as romantic as it sounds because you need to really like hiking to get a decent descent and if you hit any sort of hill you need to push.

 

Could be fun but not really appealing to me.

I think this is a really stupid idea. So you have to hike up the hill for lets say 15min and then freewheel down for 2min?

 

had the tipping point on on the laptop while i made supper last night, and matti lehikoinen describes his fave downhill in "flat" finland as "one minute to get up" on the skylift and 30 seconds to get down!

There is this one route in Lesotho. Round about 2hours to go up, and if you have the skills a quick 20 min to come down.

one of the funniest things i ever heard was on the cable car in slaapstad. it stopped sorta halfway out. someone asked: "how long does it take to get down?"

"only a few seconds if the cable snaps," came the reply.

had a few peeps worried.
