Just a joke but I do believe that it will be better for them to ride in their own racing bunch. Do the ladies ride with the men at SA Champs? If not then why do they ride with the men in any local races?

 

Well at OUR local races the ladies have their own bunches. I am trying really hard to remember a race that they didn't.....maybe if I go back like 3-4yrs I'll find one. That's why on this side there's the moaning about catching the ladies' bunch and getting races neutralised. No happy people.....like ever.

 

Just to trough a spanner in the works:

If what you state is true then why has the SACF not stepped in and created a rule and enforced it with all the local cycling authorities?  Surly they have to play a role in this considering we pay them every year. I think it?s pathetic that this issue raises its head from time to time and nothing gets done about it.

2008 the top ladies rode with the vets in a separate league and their performance improved, Andrew Maclean has mentioned numerous times that racing with the vets improves their condition to race overseas where the females ride similiar.

If Andrew feels that way why doesn't he set up a regular training camp where he can motorpace them with his big-ass german SUV. Surely a race where people pay to enter is not the place for that kind of training benefit.

I think andrew is more interested in promoting his top female members which is why previous he has had them race with the men at the expense of competing in the female cat for prize money so as to make them stronger when racing overseas. CSA need to buy their own big-ass german SUV and try your suggestion.

It was a series of events (as I told someone this morning)and the guys/girls had to enter at the beginning of the series I think. Maybe someone can comment on this as I do not remember and am talking just because. As to the car.....I haven't seen it much. CL teams are sponsored by Toyota and that's what you see at the races. But what does that have to do with the way WC race organisers like to run things.....I really have no idea.

That makes sense, I thought you were saying they put WL with VB to make the girls stronger, not individual riders into VB.
