Stage Racing

I?m thinking of doing my first stage race, the SUBARU KALAHARI CHALLENGE.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I?m not planning to win the race, but I want to race and not just do it for the fun.


What tips can you give me with regards to stage racing?

What supplements?

Type of training?

do's and don'ts


I do eat healthy. Lots of fruits and veggies.

I ride road  and mtb.

don't think, just do.


Useful hints:

Protein shakes every night.

Compression pants


lots of liquid.

REHYDRATE in your backpack, and one bottle.  (don't trust just sport drinks)

eat (biltong and comfort food) and drink (chocolate milkshake)

avoid alcohol during the and between stages.
