Fair's fair - you must tell us your service horror stories.

My fave so far was in Malawi where my friend's Range Rover went in manual and came out automatic.

LOL That about sums up the stories I have to tell.

In all honesty these stories date back to last century...the dark days when TDF was still in small shop in the centre of Benoni (near to where the Lake side mall is now). Probably best to leave things at that.

I personally have always had good service from TDF but I know of 3 separate incidents from 3 reliable sources that changed my mind.

i understand' date=' it could be possible if the workshop is behind closed doors, but they not, and you can view the workshop and what they doing all the time.[/quote']

What happens if your bike goes in for a few days, you going to stay overnight and watch it, or if it goes for a respray.....

I know what you mean, lucky i haven't been in that situation yet, but it's the same as sending your car into the shop or your wife's ring for resizing, do you know how to tell the clarity of the diamond, sorry just using that as an example, but you have to give some sort of trust, they also have there name to keep up...

It's all a matter of trust Smile

Fair i suppose. I doubt there's one retailer, cycle or otherwise that has a 100% customer satisfaction. I can only vouch for my experiences and those which i have heard which have all been good.

Yes, Yes Biltong.

Well actually no, some people like theirs dry, some a bit wet, so i suppose that if Frans sold biltong there would still be disatisfied customers.

He He Scotty....

Biltong might drag some more out of me, real biltong will definetly spill the beans.

Now lets see if someone send me 10 kg's worth I could forget for quite a long time...

Ah wait damnit... you not allowed to import "fleish" into Europe unless its from Europe Confused...

It is truly gratifying to see my humble thread grow legs and run all day, taxing the minds of senior Hubbers with the debate finding its natural level on ......

....biltong.

c'est la vie as they say on the TdF (but not at Tour de Frans - which is where we came in)
