Just a note to the guys who have been complaining about certain time keeping systems/organizers

Watchout there is a new sports time keeping system on its way, it operates on the UHF frequency (not unique but improved), makes use of 4 antennas, 2 on the road 2 next to the road (Antennas are 200x80x20mm) so you might not even see them

It can pick up tags upto 6m away, and can read 160 tags per seconds, and test have shown captures upto 120Kph, so will even catch the speed freeks out there. Hopefully by this weekend (14 March 2010) it will see its first field trials....

Hopefully it gives the whole of each starting group the same start time so that bunch sprint finish results are a bit more accurate.

And just another chip you will have to buy on top of the race entry fee.

To give the average rider a result that only he will look at maybe once.

Cost benefit for the rider...do your own calc.
