Mountain_lion I saw the photo were put up earlier this evening.  Found 3 nice ones of me.  Go have a look.

 

I told you we were going to take it easy on the mtb!  You could have joined us easily as we cruised and had lots of fun.  Tried to keep our heart rates below 85%, but it was difficult! You just want to race.  Especially when you get passed by a guy on a single speed steel bike!!!  Had loads of fun on the route and it was stunning. Definitely doing it again.

 

Thanks; My number must have been to covered in mud or just had too much glare - search found nothing on mypicture, but Mrs Mountain_lion found some of me while browsing the unidentified section.

 

I considered shouting "Willehond!" at the start and see if I get an answer, but then decided you would be too fast for me up that initial climb, so not much point in starting together.

I guess that the 10 minutes you finished ahead of me were mostly from the climb on the road and I doubt if I wanted to do that any faster.

 

I also passed the white single speed, I think somewhere on the section

where we where going parallel to the N2 - he was having problems with

cramp.

 

Are you riding Dewdale on Sunday?

Mountain_lion, I really wanted to do Dewdale as it looks like a fun route in the new dam, but I have other commitments on Sunday which I can't move!  My next mtb ride will probably be the Stellenbosch ride and as they are going to use Knysna as a seeding event, we will probably be in the same start group.  See you there!

Hey Lilo' date=' I got to kiss a podium chick!!! (Well actually the Rotary club president nogal, not quite a chick, but a very friendly tannie!) and I got a R300 P'nP voucher and a nice shiny medal!

 

The sprint was for second cause the guy who won was long gone.  He TT'd all the way from the start!  VERY strong guy.  We were left to fight for second.  PokerFace worked really hard and nearly dropped me on the first horrible hill out of Knysna.  Luckily I hung on and found my legs somewhere near the turn.

 

Nice to get some prize money, but the best was sprinting for the line and taking it with a punch in the air!  GRRRRRREAT!!!!!

Fanie, vir 'n ou met 'n BAIE dodgy avatar is jy darem braaf met jou kommentaar!  Die ou wat gewen het was 'n serious liga ryer, maar die res van die outjies was lekker cannon fodder.  Heerlik gery met PokerFace en ons het die BAIE geniet.  Plus ek het 'n A seeding gekry vir die rit van PPA!  Ongelooflik
