Registration village and expo, extremely hot. Start of Etape du Tour Me at the end and with official sign on truck. This is from the finish at Loudenville looking back up to the summit of Col de Peyresourde in the distance (red arrow), gives an idea of the height of the climbs and don't forget this is the last of five. Some snow still on the peaks.
Willehond Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Just heard from straatvark. He missed the cut off and did 12:10, but got a medal at least! Not bad for a guy who rode the Etape on a MOUNTAIN BIKE!

I take my hat off to him for even finishing on a MTB and making it past the cut off's. Anyway now he can relax and enjoy the Mountain Biking in Spain.
