No one can get negative points, however, the GC shuffles everyday and as riders move in and out of the GC, they win and loose points. Remember, the GC is only really worth something on the last day, until then its purely indicative. Once a rider gain a point in the other two cats, they cant loose it. Canaris Posted July 17, 2007 Share simple, if I understand the presentation of ranking ladders, the "points" are actually how many places were gained or lost. ie today he is number 3 in the GC. He has a bad ride. Tomorrow he is number 7. THat is 4 places down. So on the ranking table a -4 would be indicated. (Showing that he was previously no3 and has lost 4 places to become no 7.) Easy?
