Hi

Yup, my Epic partner and I have done it to both our S-Works - fairly easy, but 4 hands are better than 2 hands.

You can order the bearings, and do it yourself. That way, you see the damage done to the old bearings, and you learn how to do it for the future.

If you can lay your hands on a set of 'drifters' to drift out the bearings, so much the better, but you can (carefully) use other tools, too.

We also replaced our sealed wheel bearings by going direct (with old bearing) direct to bearing distributor.

I heard that the bearings are moerse expensive because Specialised does not use a standard bearing, but it needs to be specially ordered. I know my Commencal is easier because it is a standard bearing. I overheard a conversation at my LBS that the bearing kit alone was a couple of grand, but I don't own a Specialised so not a totally reliable source of info

The Specialized needs a special/non standard bearing. Most Duals use standard off the shelf bearings. But all the bushings are only available from suppliers. I hope you come right with the Specialized bearings. We had weeks of Sh*t getting the right bearing for a sworks before the epic.
