LUVBIKE1 Posted May 4, 2010 Share Hope Vision 1 Led, and see CWC has them for R1100...F*%*%90, I paid R1750 for the same light in Dec 09 from Epic. Nice light, 3hr burn on full and fine for daily early morning rides. With a R2000 budget buy 2, you won't be sorry!!
PaulTCR Posted May 24, 2010 Share I just did the Shenanigan this last weekend and spent 3 hrs bombing round the forests at night - fine fun. Some guys had small camping head torches and some fancy super nova like bike lights that cost half the price of a decent bike. I have a Fenix LD20 http://www.fenixtorch.co.uk/led_torches/fenix-ld20-r4.html which you can get in SA for about R700. It chucks out 200 whatevers of light and is plenty bright enough for 50 kph of off road downhill. It runs on 2 AA rechargables which last 1.5 hrs on max brightness (72 hrs on min brighness which is good for slower uphill climbs), weighs next to nothing, and when you've finished biking you can use it as a normal torch. SURFER Posted May 24, 2010 Share I received 2 sets of magicshine (magiclight) from deal extreme last week. Ordered on 18 April and received on 16 May, no import taxes, only vat. Paid R1400 for 2 sets. Used last night, awesome. There is always risk when ordering from overseas, therefore CWC deal also sounds good. Also check out http://www.uvequip.co.za for local supplier for magicshine (magiclight) for less than R1000
Domin8tr Posted May 24, 2010 Share Mate of mine built his own light cost about R600 plus all the effort, rather spend the R1000 at http://www.uvequip.co.za for the Majicshine and u can get going this week!!
sampie Posted May 24, 2010 Share True, alot of effort building your own. But what a feeling when you ride with your own lights and the cars keep flasing at you. sampie2010-05-24 15:42:
