As i am a "pillesmous" , i was quite interested to see if it has changed. It is totally different. There are plenty of new flu meds and cough mixtures etc now listed.Its worth checking it out if you are a competitive cyclist/athlete. Even something like glycerine that you can by from Pick a Pay, is now banned.Make sure that your pharmacist or GP has the latest 2010 download or booklet, or you may get a surprise if you stand on the podium regularly.the website is http://www.cyclingsa.com/Downloads/2010DrugsinSportHandbook.pdf ps ...... good news for all the old toppies and young girls using Viagra for improved blood circulation (old toppies - you know where) and the ladies to their lungs to carry more oxygen, its not banned as yet.
gummibear Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I remember racing SA Champs in Bloem one year and i knew the heat and altitued would get to me so i was told to use glycerine to help breathe easier.It worked but it also cleaned my insides out.Instead of just puting some behind my tongue i was taking sips. Soon all medication will be on that list.
