That little guy (and his dad) came across the line with his hand in the air and the crowd went wild, he got a bigger reception than anybody else at the finish (how old is he? My 6 year old is desperate to ride long distance)

Yes - he finished the 30 km race in 2 h 30min. He turned 6 in July 2010 and the Stellenbosch mtb race was his 8th for this year (in excess of 20 km).
