BigToe Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Not sure if this has been covered (nothing under search).Question is: What needs to be done to a frame (besides cleaning it..) prior to it getting all it's bits and pieces tagged onto it.
AndreZA Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Sometimes the headtube and BB shell needs to be faced. Some manufacturers do this but a bike shop can also do it. Then you just need grease or anti-seize compound to start building.

GuyP Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I've built up all sorts of frames over the years from Ritchey to Bianchi to Kinesis to Vitus and more, and have been aware of the proper alignment of BB and headtube, but have never needed to do anything on any frame so far (can't speak to carbon though - that's not my game). What frame have you got?
