It's summer, and I wonder how long before the %&#$ starts to fly in the Cradle

By now this is such a boring topic, but on my way to Teak in my car on Saturday - I could see that its just a matter of time before there's trouble again. It's still early, but there were cyclists ranging from serious social weekend warrior & kie & family + the dogs to pros

So the topic has been discussed to death on The Hub, and I'm sure in many other places ...

Was or is there a solution / plan / or something ...

Also went out that way yesterday en route to the airport from Magalies, pretty busy, what race was on as there were cyclists all over the show and guys on motorbikes just jumping out in front of cars near the Aloe Ridge satellite sign...

Was wonderinng the same thing heading back through there on Sunday morning.

Seriously hope it gets sorted and EVERYONE buys in (inclusive of all the "groups / classes" mentioned in original post.

Hate to see it get ugly (again...) or worse.

Rode the Kloofzicht Corporate MTB challenge there yesterday. Bikers who marshalled were very friendly and helpful. Long may the co operation last.

Didn't even see you there on Saturday ou yster, weather was perfect for riding. Was quite busy in the cradle, you can see its 94.7 time again. What i did notice was that the smaller the groups 1-10 had no issues. At most 2 abreast, indicating etc etc, its the big groups where things go a bit wrong. I am patient guy and when I had to to come to a standstill at the one circle, I just waited until the guys realized they were holding me up, I wasn't going to throw my toys but a bloke in a white landcruiser behind me started hooting which eventually made the "flock" move. That situation had the potential to go pear shaped very quickly if one of the roadies made a gesture or vloeked the boer, anyway it didn't happen but it could have.

We started very late ... buddie had to drop his kids at the babysitter :) And Teaks is busy - riding the route in the "wrong" direction was also lekker fun

Jip - thats what I'm worried about ... the Cradle residents getting annoyed, even before the masses flock to the Cradle ...

Ja it seems they doing the "wrong" direction every second week or so, makes it quite different, that view top climb is a bliksem that way round hey.

I hear you, its gonna get busy real soon.I dont know if have the balls to ride on that road, I will just stick with teak and if I want a long distance ride, breedts
