I was curious if anyone here has a go to online guide for DIY servicing...

 

I found Utah Mountain Biking which wasn't too bad but their section on derailer tuning was pretty unclear.

 

You can tell by this that yes... I completely stuffed up my girlfriends semi-working rear derailer setup yesterday

Thanks guys... Just printed out half the park tool website and have it sitting neatly bound in my car... Thanks work Hopefully this will go someway to calming the storm when I get home and the grilfriend's bike is still stuffed... for now

I suggest you run her a nice bath with candles and tell her to relax while you finish her bike now that you "have the right tools."

It's huge and she has very very short legs...

If her legs are so short that she leaves a snail trail then she does not need bike but rather a skateboard.
