Anybody been to the Solomons Sale? Is there anything worthwile going for? I want to pick up some new jerseys, nothing fancy or too expensive, apparantly all anatomic clothing is going for R50 a piece?

I was keen on getting some bibs at that price but I phoned them last week and they only had small sizes

I got a new jersey for R50, they had quite a variety but unfortunately they are all sleeveless, and I'm not too keen on the wifebeaters. For R50 I'll wear it though. Wanted to get something for the GF as well but they don't have anything remotely female so girls, don't bother.

The Pedros Road Rage oil is a good buy @ R20 a bottle. Don't waste any money on "The Definitive guide to bicycle maintenance" for R30. Not worth the bytes I justs waisted by telling you not to buy it. They've got some cheap tyres if you are looking for training tyres.

Had a look at the tires, The WTB Velociraptors for R49.95, I didn't like them, don't think they'll last very long.

Just came from the Solomon's in Pta North.

Was quite a drive, plus I got lost cos the street sign for Emily Hobhouse Ave was missing , so I walked in thinking it was finally the day that there'd only be space for cycling clothes in my cupboard...So I was really pissed when everything was sized for underpants gnomes(XS) or Rob Reiners (3XL *more butter* versions).
