Sram Rival Crankset

hey guys,

 

i have installed a Rival crankset with a GXP team BB, English thread.

 

there is about 2 - 3 mm of lateral play once installed and the non drive crank arm is fully tightened.

 

should i add a space between the non drive side cup to reduce this or is it normal.

 

Shimano does not do this please advise?

It is not normal so you need to either add a spacer or torque the crank arm a bit more.

 

When I installed my rival crankset, I had to really torque it.

 

I didn't need spacers but I did remove, re-grease and reinstalled a couple of times before there was no play on the crank.

Faulty where are you based?

 

Once it sems tight, Tighten it some more! it does have the lateral play but if you tighten it it will go away

I INSTALLED A RIVAL CRANKSET LAST WEEK. SAME PROBLEM. REMOVED CRANK APPLIED A LITTLE GREASE TO THE SHAFT. RE-INSTALLED IT AND ....HEY PRESTO PERFECT!
