IS 69 ER STILL LEGAL TO RACE?

How did this go from 29ers to 69ers? Now a 69er on a 29er, not sure thats even been tried yet, let alone legal

Errrrrrm, read the topic heading, it never was about 29'ers no 26 " ers.

This clearly proves that 69 ers. don't have a place in the world of the bicycle.

What would be some of the pro vs cons with the 69'er

Couple that come to mind

con - You have to carry 2 tube sizes

con - You look like you are riding a penny farthing

I am struggling with the pros...anyone?

I carry a 26 " tube for my 29'ers.

But they look K@K, there will be two types of people who advocate 69'ers.

1.Those who have bought them.

2.Those who are inquisitive about 29'ers, have an old frame lying around (26") , convert the fork to a 29" and build a bigger rim on to their hub.

Suppose so. pros?

Two I can think of, OK make that three.

1.It's a bicycle.

2.You only need to carry one tube size.

3.If you want to look like a dork, you will be successful.

Well that's pretty clear. Wheels may not be bigger than 26" unless bigger wheels are used.

No indication that both wheels have to be the same size.

And, assuming you have c'd and p'd, CSA have spelt "discipline" wrong.

If you read that rule again you will see that they state that your wheel size may not be bigger than 26", but bicycles with TWO 29" wheels may also be used. So that rules 69er out, since it only has one 29" wheel.
