Hi All,

The last time that I rode the Shova race was 5 yrs ago. I was bigger, heavier and not fit.

Since then I lost the wieght, ride harder and avg to do a 2:35 - 2:45 in the 100km's races.

My question is for the Shova race, should I ride deep sections or the traditional wheels? I know the weather could play its part. In perfect conditions what would you ride?

You planning on hiding or soloing.

Also what deep sections?

I'm deffinately going to be running cosmic Carbones.

Let it roll baby roll. I do not think there is enough climbing to go lightweight, and unless the west howls cross wind is not a factor. (Ps. if the west howls it'll probably be raining in which case stay in bed)

Gee if you can hit a 2:45 on the shova well done! My best is 3:00 on the nose! There a lot of climbs so lightweight is the way forward. I'm not eating next week :D

I agree with Cosborne. The climbs make it lightweight wheels. Deep sections advantage is neutralised by the bunch and with the climbs it is best to keep the weight down.
