Christoph Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 SO BB30 bottom brackets don't have threads? besides the larger pedal clearance and possibly stiffness of the crankset, what is the difference between the two BB's and cranksets? I'm refering to the mechanical difference not the visual difference...

CScriba Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) bb30 is supposedly somewhat stiffer and better because it decreases the effective width of the whole crank setup...but in my oppinion gxp is just as awesome and no difference can be felt lol Edited January 10, 2011 by eclipse
kosmonooit Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 CAAD5 2005 frame has 68mm English BB so get a BB to fit that (I got the same frame). Also depending on crank type: GXP bb is normally for SRAM cranks, since there is a step down on the LHS.
