CRC Order Fail AGAIN - UPDATE CRC Win me BACK

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So after all my not having my saddle in stock problems once I had paid for it. They sent me the white one.

Turns out the white one is all white and not with the black strip in the middle which I actually quite liked.

Ill man up and accept it. But this last one got me.

They sent me the wrong grips. Look at the pic clearly the label with the box is the correct one and not their stupid label. So now I have the wrong grips and need to send it back to them.

The funny part is they will cover my costs to send it back to them. The grips they sent me are worth about the same as the postage so why even bother getting it back? They might as well say sorry here is a voucher and reorder new grips.

So I just got this email.....

Hi

Please accept our apologies for this error. We have investigated this and

it would appear there has been a labelling error. Unfortunately we do not

have any of the GR05 Grips in stock in to this labelling error.

My supervisor has advised that you can keep the grips which have been sent

to you in error to prevent any further inconvenience being caused to you.

We can also offer you another set of grips of your choice as replacement for

your missing item. You can choose any grips between £15-£20 as your

replacement item (GR05 price paid £6.18) and we will ship them free of

charge by next day delivery.

Again we do apologise for this error, and the inconvenience which has been

caused to you.

Kind Regards,

Sarah

Punt its actually a joke. Ive had better service in SA than what I am currently getting in Ireland and Im only 150km away from them. Ive spend over 1500 euro with them in the past 2months and I have to laugh at every order with its unique problems.

Thug Don`t get me wrong. Back in SA I`ve never had an issue. But here on their homeground every order has had its issue and also takes around 10days to get the order.

Problem Fixed and I scored some ODI grips  instead of the cheapies I bought.

In fairness I did have to go and buy new cheapies in the meantime so I can ride tomorro.

Now to find a cycling charity to donate these bmx Grips to. Its only fair I give back dont you think?

I have a brand new pair of ODI Rogue grips (Bonus pack) at home still in their packaging. Can't wait for my Oury grips to wear out. I ordered just the grips from CRC and with the £10 shipping, local taxes and handling fee, it was still cheaper then buying it locally.

I asked for the ODI Ruffian Lock-On Bonus Pack.

Are ODI`s "Lock-On" system different to our normal setup we get for R120 in SA?

Yes it is. A few years back I bought some ODI end caps to fit my Aerozine grips. I had to cut away some of the plastic tabs on the grips where the clamp grabs. It is easy to do and not a big deal.
