cosborne Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 ADMIN what has happened with the Classifieds revamp? "How to spot a scammer" is not solving the problem. Prevention is better then a cure. Have the Classifieds section with compulsory fields that sellers have to fill in. EVERYDAY a one liner advert goes up- then you get the older hubbers that accuse the seller of being a scammer. Which they could be, but we don't know.

Which they could be, but we don't know. It's taken a little longer than planned, but finally there. I'm setting up a 'live' testing site as we speak and should have it up later today. Once we're happy it's bug free we'll release it to the world (or at least The Hub), which I expect to happen next week.

Grebel Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I think this has been suggested before, but is it possible to split the classifieds up into sections i.e. Road, DH, MTB etc and can those be split into bikes, parts, clothing etc? It would make it easier to find stuff when you are looking for it...
javadude Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Personally I don't see the point. Scammers are smarter than you think, and its up to buyers to take responsibility for being scammed and not the hub to provide a prevention for buyers stupidity.

That is going to be great when it happens. I am looking forward to it A friend is looking for a DH bike for his son and I suggested the hub classifieds. His response was that it was too much of a mission to sift through all the ads to find what he is looking for so this will definitely help!! Thanks!!
